The Adventure Unlimited family

The A/U Ranches is part of Adventure Unlimited, a Denver-based non-profit offering a variety of engaging, spiritually based activities for Christian Scientists of all ages. While the primary focus at the A/U Ranches is our Christian Science programming, our property also hosts the 100 Elk Outdoor Center, which serves a variety of secular schools and other groups in outdoor education, team-building activities, character development, and ecology in an inclusive and inspiring environment. The other major branch of Adventure Unlimited, DiscoveryBound, offers fun, inspiring year-round activities and programs for people of all ages to experience Christian Science in action around the country.

70 Years and Counting

John "Cap" and Marianne Andrews realized a dream when they started the A/U Ranches in the 1950s: to support Christian Science youth by better preparing them for life’s challenges. Today, we continue to approach all our programs with the same conviction. Programs at the A/U Ranches are designed to help guide and strengthen participants physically, mentally, and spiritually in an atmosphere that inspires.

The A/U Ranches is located at the base of the Colorado Rockies' 14,000-foot Collegiate Peaks in Buena Vista, Colorado. The A/U Ranches provides experiences and terrain unequaled anywhere. Our 1,100 acres are home to Sky Valley Ranch and Round-Up Ranch, a herd of about 40 horses, two climbing walls, two lakes, a yurt campus, a junior Olympic-sized pool, and many other amenities.
